Meetings

2012:

  • Maxime Descoteaux (USherbrooke) and 4 of his students visited Inria Athena on Dec. 4th for a week.
  • Sylvain Merlet (INRIA) visited the SCIL (Sherbrooke Connectivity Imaging Lab) from June 11th to June 22nd, 2012.
  • Rachid Deriche (INRIA)  visited the SCIL (Sherbrooke Connectivity Imaging Lab) from August 2nd  to August 7th, 2012. He gave a talk on Friday 3rd, and exchanged and worked with Maxime Descoteaux, his collaborators (Fortin,..) and students.
  • Jean-Marc Lina (CRM) met with Maureen Clerc, Théo Papadopoulo and Anne-Charlotte Philippe (INRIA) during BIOMAG 2012. They discussed the topic of integrating diffusion MRI information with the M/EEG inverse problem.
  • Maxime Descoteaux and Michael Paquette (USherbrooke) are visiting Athena on Sept. 24th for a week.
  • Gabriel Girard (USherbrooke) is visiting INRIA from Sept. 24th to Oct. 26th
  • Jean-Christophe Houde and Maxime Chamberland (USherbrooke) visited Athena October 8-9th.
  • Jean-Marc Lina and Younes Zerouali (CRM) visited Athena from Nov. 26 to Dec. 2 with the goal of starting integrating cortical patch information developed at Athena into the source localisation method developed at CRM.

2013:

  • Anne-Charlotte Philippe (INRIA) visited CRM from March 31th to April, 7th and then went to the ISBI conference in San Francisco to present her work. [1]
  • Sylvain Merlet (INRIA) visited the SCIL (Sherbrooke Connectivity Imaging Lab) from from March 31th to April, 20th. During this period, he also was at ISBI conference (April 7-11, 2013) to present his work  [2].
  • Maxime Descoteaux (USherbrooke) visited the Athena group (September 10-15 2013). He was part of the PhD jury of Sylvain Merlet (September 11 2013). [3]
  • Gabriel Girard (USherbrooke) has joined the Athena group for one year for a joint PhD (Samuel de Champlain grant) from October 10th, 2013 to September 30th, 2014. He is co-supervized by M. Descoteaux and R. Deriche. [4, 5].
  • Théo Papadopoulo (INRIA) visited CRM from October, 20th to October, 28th to work with Jean-Marc Lina and Christophe Grova. During this period,  they also assisted to the Scale-free Dynamics and Networks in Neuroscience workshop (October 21-24) organized by J.-M. Lina. He presented the work  [6].
  • Maureen Clerc (INRIA) visited CRM from November 9th to November, 15th to work with Jean-Marc Lina.  Maureen Clerc gave a seminar at the McGill Biomedical Engineering Department.
  • Gonzalo Sanguinetti (INRIA post-doc at Athena) is visiting the Sherbrooke group (November 16-20, 2013) to work on brain micro-structure recovery from diffusion MR images. In conjunction with the post-doc Eleftherios Garyfallidis, they worked to integrate mathematical tools in the python library dipy, which will be available with the next release.
  • Jean-Marc Lina (CRM) will visit the Athena group from December 17th to December 21th to assist to the PhD jury of Anne-Charlotte Philippe and to work with Brahim Belaoucha, Anne-Chralotte Philippe and Maureen Clerc on a paper to be submitted to Biomag 2014. [7].
  • Maxime Descoteaux (USherbrooke) visited the Athena group (December 13-20, 2013). He will work notably with Gabriel Girard and Rachid Deriche on dMRI tractography.
  • Rachid Deriche, Anne-Charlotte Philippe and Sylvain Merlet participated to the conference ISBI International Symposium on BIOMEDICAL IMAGING: From Nano to Macro, April 7-11, 2013- USA.  [2].

2014:

  • Visit of Rutger Fick and Demian Wassermann at SCIL (USherbrooke) to work on dMRI acquisition in order to recover brain micro-structure (March 17-24).
  • Visit of Kevin Whittingstall (USherbrooke) at Athena (June 2 -3) to work with Rachid Deriche and Gabriel Girard.
  • Brahim Belaoucha visited CRM (August 17-21) to work with Jean-Marc Lina and Christophe Grova on the integration of patches in the MEM method to solve  the M/EEG inverse problem.
  • Maureen Clerc, Théo Papadopoulo, Brahim Belaoucha (Athena) met with Jean-Marc Lina (CRM) and Christophe Grova (McGill) at Biomag 2014 (August 23-28). There were 2 common posters [8, 9] and a third one related to the collaboration [10]
  • Rachid Deriche visited  the Sherbrooke group (September, 19-22) to  receive the Doctor Honoris  Causa diploma of UdS.
  • Visit of the Ph.D. Maxime Chamberland (SCIL, USherbrooke) (October 27-31) to work on dMRI tractography and its application to neuro-surgery.
  • Visit of the Athena Ph.D. student Marco Pizzolato to SCIL (USherbrooke) in november for one week to work on acquisition and processing of dMRI data.
